If you are looking for a dinner that is quick to make and tastes great, then look no further. This pasta is such a simple dish to prepare, and is one of my family's favorites!
This enchilada sauce packs a ton of smokey flavor with a little bit of heat, and makes enough that you can easily toss it with shredded chicken for the enchilada filling, and have enough to pour over your enchiladas.
Now that the hustle and bustle of the holidays have passed, we have settled in for a cold and often cloudy January. These cold days have me dreaming about warm comfort foods. That's just what this hearty potato soup is. It's the kind of meal that your whole family will enjoy, and you'll want to snuggle up with a blanket after. And why not? Comfort foods and blanket snuggling are some of the best parts of winter!
This is one of my family's favorite salads. I like to take it to gatherings, but I always make a separate salad to leave at home. My husband and I will eat it until its gone, often devouring it right out of the bowl.
Chocolate chip cookies are one of my favorite cookies. They are also my go-to cookie when I need a sweet treat to please the masses.
Shredded chicken tostadas are such a great dinner for the young, the young at heart, and everybody in between. They are pretty customizable as there are numerous options for toppin’ ‘em up. I’m sharing with you my favorite way to build tostadas using my Mexican shredded chicken as the main attraction.
Okay, I admit it. I’m addicted to Mexican food. I can’t help myself. I also can’t imagine my life without it. It completes me. Well, that might be a tad dramatic. But really, it does.
So, what does one do when one is addicted to Mexican food? Maybe one would create a recipe for yummy shredded chicken that is delicious in a variety of dishes? (“One” is me, just to clarify.) I use this shredded chicken in my favorite Mexican entrees such as tostadas, tacos, and enchiladas, oh my! I grew up eating this cornbread dressing. I love it just as much now as I did then. A perfect side dish for the holidays. It’s sweet. It’s savory. It’s comforting. It’s downright delicious.
Do you remember this delicious dessert that was often served at parties when you were a child? It was a delightfully rich and chocolaty experience complete with gummy worms popping out of the top. What child wouldn’t love this? The truth is adults love it too, but at my age it can get embarrassing pulling gummy worms out of your dessert as you converse with a friend. Fancy dirt cake is my solution.
